Two Gatefold,Bellyband cards!

Hi Guys,

I hope you are all looking forward to a awesome weekend.
This is going to be my last post for a couple of weeks as we are going on holiday!
I thought I would leave you with two very sweet cards I had made.
I am so pleased with how they turned out and can't wait to make some more.
For the base of my card I used white card stock, for the patterned paper's I used Lil Primrose by Kaisercraft. For the sweet little owl and flowers I used a stamp set called Oscar the owl and pals, this was also used on the other card as well.
The belly band of the card was made using the same papers and a little bit of yellow trim from my stash.
I coloured all the images using my spectrum noir pens.
The last thing is the speech bubble which is from a Lawn Fawn set called A Birdie Told Me!
For my last card I pretty much did the same for the base apart from using the Spring drop papers by First Edition. The patch's, buttons and sentiment are from the same stamp set(Oscar and pals).

I had so much fun making these and sharing them with you guys.Have fun creating and see you in a couple weeks.

Quick card share!

Hi everyone!

Today I have a quick and easy card to share with you today. Sometimes if you are like me I don't have time to sit and get all my embellishments out I need a quick and simple card I can put together in a few minutes and this is one of those cards.

I used a white card base which I had got as a pack of 10 with envelopes, I then layered two pieces of coloured card stock from my stash in Baby Blue and pink.
The pattered papers I used is by First Edition(spring drop) Which I also used to paper piece on the girl image. The image is a Kanban stamp called Urban Belles-Love Hearts.

I then used and few buttons and a odd piece of ribbon I had, which is also a great way to use up all those little bits and bobs of scraps you have laying around.

To bind this album I used two jump rings which I decorated with beautiful ribbons and laces from my stash

There are different size photo mats for photo's and tags for journaling.

I love the  layout of this page, and the flowers add a nice touch.
Hope you are all having a awesome weekend.

Paignton Zoo

I finely got around to using the photo's we had taken on our trip to Paignton Zoo. I knew it had to be quite a large album as I got a little happy snappy with the camera,Lol.
I used chipboard for the covers and paper bags for the pages.

I started by painting the chipboard letters black, for the flowers I used my Tim Holtz flower die and a old frame from my stash.I then finished it of by using some wide green ribbon to tie the album together.

The paper's I used for this album is Safari kids stack by DCWV. These are great fun papers that went so well with the theme of this album.
I also used fun animal sticker's and chipboard pieces.

Thanks for stopping by today guys!

Male cards..........

A Few quick cards to share today. I used Wellington papers by Docrafts. That I pick up from the Range as well as the ultimate die-cut pack in the same collection.
The first one I layered the papers to frame the image that came we the collection.

I used  a plain white card base. Handmade a rosette flower from the papers and the sentiment is from the collection too.
For this one I distressed  the edges of my papers. And made it into one that can stand up.

These make great fathers day card or just for Birthdays!

I hope you like my cards and thanks you for stopping by.

CARAMEL TOPPING; 397g can sweetened condensed milk, 125g butter,75g soft light brown sugar,2tbsp golden syrup.

CHOCOLATE TOPPING; 75g white chocolate,75g plain chocolate.

Preheat oven to 180'C,350'F,gas mark 4. Grease and line a tin 7x 11 inches with baking paper.
Cream together in a bowl the butter, sugar and flour to make the base. Keep mixing until combined.
Press the mixture into the tin and bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes until golden. Leave to cool.

Place all the caramel topping ingredients into a saucepan and place over a low heat until it has all dissolved.
Once dissolved bring to a boil, stirring continuously for 10 to 20 minutes.
Pour the caramel topping over the base and leave to cool completely.

Melt the chocolates in separate bowels over a pan of simmering water.
